As this causes some confusion from time to time I want to reiterate how we select what we add to the database.
Generally any European company can be added. Even if there is a Non-European Holding above it. The reason is that the company itself (if registered in Europe) still falls under European legislation. We also do not limit this to EU companies.
We also add companies that some might view as immoral or unethical. The reason for this is that this is a very sensitive topic and quite subjective. Therefore if we should ever introduce a ban for certain companies, we would lay out a framework to assess companies and have multiple people contribute. Right now we do not have the resources to do so and focus on filling the database with as much information as possible.
That being said: We added tags previously (https://discuss.buy-european.net/d/1-tags-open-source-self-hostabled-etc) including a tag for companies with a "Non-European parent company". We might add further tags in the future, feel free to add to the discussion in the thread mentioned above.
